We remain committed to our belief that every person should be equally afforded dignity, fair treatment, and security.
I hope you are all staying well and continuing to be safe. I know these uncertain times can cause much stress and anxiety. Adding to the news of COIVD-19, we now turn on the news and see protests centered on racial injustice. Through it all, the Estuary Council is still here! While our programs may be shut down for a bit, we continue to deliver meals and grab& go meals for our seniors in the communities which we serve. One of our favorites phrases is “ We are more than just a meal” The Estuary Council is here to help older adults remain active, and independent, we are about Nutrition, Education, Health, and socialization. But at its core, our commitment is to the ideal that every human being has an equal claim to dignity and fair treatment and security. Progress towards human rights is progress for us all. The Estuary Council will continue to advocate to change policies and institutions that are harmful to our communities.
Every time we turn our head the other way when we see the law flouted, when we tolerate what we know to be wrong, when we close our eyes and ears to the corrupt because we are too busy, when we fail to speak up or peak out we strike a blow against freedom, decency, and injustice
Robert Kennedy
