Membership

Memberships are free! In order to access our facility please complete our registration form.

NO MEMBERSHIP FEES!

Nutrition

We offer Meals on Wheels for home-bound clients, congregate meals in our various cafes, and grab & go meals. Meals are supported by Senior Resources Agency on Aging with Title III funds available under the Older Americans Act.

Fitness

The gym is open to fitness center members Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 4:45 pm.

Gym Equipment Includes: Nu-Step Machines, Nautilus Equipment, Treadmills, Weight Bench, Stationary Bikes, Yoga Mats, Fitness Balls, Dumb Bells, Kettle Bells, Stretch Bands, and a Rowing machine.

Transportation

Transportation is available to those 50 and over, living within the 9 town estuary region, to medical appointments within the 9 town area and beyond.

A driver will pick you up in a passenger vehicle at your home, take you to your appointment, and bring you back home after.

Thrift Shop

The Estuary Thrift Shop is the best keep secret on the shoreline! All of our merchandise is from the generous donations of people in our local communities.

We offer a full line of clothing for women and men. Every thing from sweaters, coats, dresses, shoes, handbags to men’s suits, jackets, pants, shirts, and ties.

What towns do you service?

What hours are you open?

The Estuary Center and Office (Old Saybrook) are open Monday ‐ Friday from 8:00 am ‐ 4 pm. The Thrift Shop is open Monday through Friday 10 am ‐ 3:45 pm and Saturdays from 10 am - 2:45 pm. Donations for the Thrift Shop are by appointment only. The Gym is currently open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 4:45 pm.

How do I become a member? Are there membership fees?

We do not have membership fees or dues for our regular activities. Simply complete a registration form, and we will enter you into our database and then provide you with a scan card. Donations are graciously accepted in lieu of a set fee. Our gym does have fees to join and some of our class instructors charge a nominal fee as well.

But, I’m not a senior, can I still participate?

Our mission is to serve anyone aged 50 or better. Some grants apply only to those aged 60 and over, but all are welcome to participate. Participants’ ages range from their 50’s to over 100!
